As Mr. Woodruff does not return until next Tuesday, I think a Maltine check for $73.25 should be come to Mr. Ostrander to cover the taxes. Do you know of any reason why the same should not be sent?

My dear Mr. Farnham:
As per telephonic communication of this morning, please draw a check to the order of Burr McIntosh for $169.50. This amount excludes the bill of February 18th, about which there has been some question and which I have marked not to pay. I am enclosing John's letter to me as a reference which please attach to the bills. You will see that John says he did not order two sets of pictures, one of Feb. 18th and another on February 19th.
Mr. Woodruff told me that if Mr. McIntosh requested a check, to have you send it, deducting for the bill in question.
Yours very truly,

Mr. F. W. Farnham,

My dear Mr. Farnham:
I am under the impression that I O.K'd a bill for cigarettes some two or three weeks ago for the enclosed amount. I ordered those cigarettes for Mr. Woodruff six weeks ago, and believe I sent the bill to you. Will you be kind enough to look into this matter. I may possibly be mistaken, but wish to take this precaution.
Yours very truly,
