Hon. Timothy L. Woodruff
New York, NY
My dear Governor:-
Have spent today at Winchester with the Beawired White Coal Mng Co. and am glad to be able to tell you that they have placed their order for 25 machines equipped with alternating current motors. 6 of which are to be shipped as soon as we can get them off. The remainder are to be shipped at the rate of 3 per month thereafter. With the 500 volt direct current machines ordered sometime ago, the Beawired White Coal Mng Co now have 29 machines actually on order with us. It is probable they [incomplete?]
and other prospective purchased.
The results from the operation of the Alternating Current machine now at the [?] and the tests made at the factory of the one now on the way to Windber strongly indicate that this has now been worked out to commercial success Although there are of course still some adjustments which will have to be made in order to bring it up to the desired degree of perfection.
There are some other good prospects in view and I hope it will be possible to advise you of some additional good orders before the end of the month.
Give my love to Isabel and tell her this order is my Easter Egg for her.
Very sincerely
John
