I will telephone you some time Tuesday morning or in some very communicate with you. Meantime, I am,
Very sincerely yours,
P.S. I sent an important letter to Mr. Ward last night, marked to "forward" I hope he has received it.

Mr. F. W. Farnham,

My dear Farnham:
I am in receipt this morning of the enclosed from Ostrander, and the following letter:
"The enclosed receipt from the County Treasurer for the tax of last year on the Kamp Kill Kare property has just come in. You will see that he has made the date as of February 11th, and, while the tax was not actually received by him until sometime after, I think it better to leave it as it is, as he probably has made the same entry upon his assessment roll."
This answers your inquiry of a few days ago and disposes of the matter.
Yours sincerely,
Enclosure: -

My dear Mr. Farnham:
I saw George Casson this morning and went for him "red hot" for not responding promptly to your letters. The fact of the matter is, I am afraid George has deteriorated and in constantly deteriorating. I may get rid of him before I go to Europe. I certainly shall in the Fall. I want to see all bills that he sends to you before you draw checks for them.
Where are the servants' checks? You have not yet sent me the checks for Mary, Marie and George There is no stable man, as I discharged him the first of May. You can send over George's check to me, but I do not propose to give it to him until I have a settlement with him. He has sold two horses for me lately, for which he received $60. for one and $150. for the other. He has promised to bring me the money tomorrow morning and have a settlement of his account.
Yours sincerely, -
