Dear “Sister Caroline”
We missed you and Grace at our Kraus meeting on November 4th,. Your telegram arrived just as the quests arrived and was mad at the beginning of the meeting making us all realize that you were with us in spirit- [We were] thirty percent and twenty eight staged for luncheon - we were afraid it might be too cold or windy for some of the members to have the exercises indoors, the enclosed poem,by [Eloise Farr], was read at our luncheon and after luncheon we wandered about the building and our to see our tree- a healthy young [kin oak], well shaped and occupy me

One of the delightful surprises of the day was the [anomaly] of Dr Jenny Merriel. She is living with her nephew in Hollis and he bought her over. She has grown thin and led, her just as interested and alert as ever. She paid a beautiful tribute to Mrs Kraus which I wish some of our young people of modern education might have heard. She said she was starting her eighteenth year and greatly interested in the problems of the world. The same Kraus spirit prevailed and we all had a happy day

I met your Frank at the theater on Friday major and was glad to hear that you are all well. It was so will of Frank to come over and speak to us. Our Frank Club had occurred most of the second balcony and a four seats in the first balcony to see [Madrid] “School for Husbands” as that is how I happened to be there- I have grown to be such a [exuberant] that I seldom go to the city- we have had such glorious week ends all face we have enjoyed exploring Long Island in the Buick and have discovered many beautiful drives.
Miss Roethgen and her sister Marta have

A very nice apartment on the next week and now that they have a good housekeeper are very happy in their new home.
I am glad to say that we have all been well and looking forward with pleasure to another happy reunion on Thanksgiving Day. I hope you all have a happy time together and all keep well. My warm regard to Mr Mleney and all the other Meleney’s and loving good wishes to you and Grace from
