My dear Carrie Cait,
I want to tell you of my appreciation that- both you & Mr Meleney came to honor our Association, & to say so many good & loving words.- I hope - you are well, & that no harm came to you- because of the effort to come all the way from your home. You, both, looked well & soo young- the expressions of happiness.- I am sorry , that I could not have had the pleasure of

Of having had you by my side; but - my ear trouble and the “giving out” so much vital strength - I needed to have my beloved daughter by my side- preventing her to sit among her class-mates. - The Luncheon was very beautiful, - and it was a sight to rejoice- seeing the happy faces. - I shall hope to see you before you go to the country! You have many cares, but also many joys. - I am
