My dear Mrs Meleney,
Only “to - day” I can find a restful time, to write. I wanted to do so- since our last Meeting. The Hall, on that day, was unfortunately so cold, that - I fear- we all have suffered from it.- Truly - you have grown to be a “young woman” again! It was delightful to see and to hear you. You seemed to be so [brine] full of “Motherlove”. It warmed everybody’s hear!
[page 2]
I only wish, that somebody could have “jotted- down “ what you said; but then - it could not have given the right impression! For it needed to see you- while speaking! Thank you - for coming and speaking for our Association!- It was quite a disappointment, that you were not present at our “Reunion Luncheon”. It was a beautiful sight- those 90 “Kraus girls” - Mrs Blow from 40 yrs ago
[page 3]
Up to the young girls of my present class! And - the surroundings were so beautiful- at Hotel Majestic! Yes, dear Carrie Cait - I missed you!-
When the weather grows warmer, you must not forget to “look in” at our this year’s class - at 11 A.M. on a Thursday- when “at play”. - I hope, you may also be able to attend our next Meeting!-
With love to you & your family
Affectionately
Maria Kraus Boelte
My Emmy sends a “loving greeting” to you!-
