My dear Mrs Meleney:-
Please send only one line naming the subject upon which you are going to speak at Charleston. I have to send it to Mr. Irwin Shepherd before I leave for Brooklyn.
Yours in great haste
Maria Kraus Boelte
Dictated.
Even now my type-writer brings this in; & I add a line to say: that I received your letter this A.M. saying that you are going to Charleston! Hurrah! And I have forwarded the good news [along] to Mr. Shepherd [Wnona], Secretary NEA – I am pleased to find, that you have the same plan in mind, as I have to visit A.Harvey, KG : and then call upon you, my dear much loved “Carrie Cait” Meleney.-
Affectionately Maria Kraus-Boelte
