My dear Mrs Meleney
Not having heard from you now from our [Rae}: Secretary to the contrary, I prepose, “that all is right,” & that you will be able to act as our “Chairman” for the day. It always needs some preparation for the on “to act”, & her [ea] I trust: we shall need no substitute.- As it all stands, is this:
Mrs Lawrence has declined to address us this time.-
A great many of those who

Who were appointed originally, have declined to speak or give ideas about X-mas work,- & this I had to give more & more names- as it was called for.
No [owners] were received from: Mrs Collins, Miss Darreah, Mrs Eaton
Regrets from: Misses: Peek, Minor, berry, Kranter, Laurie, Blake, hartwell, Green, Mrs Brown.-
Acceptaces from: Miss Tompkins,(who is quite experienced), Mary De[arest], Misses Shell, Ayman, Allenroth, (the the latter will bring Xmas work) Miss backet: will sing a Xmas song and a very touching & interesting item con-

Connected with it. Mrs Pashley: How Santa Claus came to “Xmas festival” and “Jack Horner pie”.
Miss Dauerel has volunteered to give us a new home, which may come- in after our Session, as it has nothing to do with Christmas. It is entitled “the [Snail]].”-
And- I hope- you, & the other members of our Committee may have “suggesstion; for [visit]:I have- if thers is time, - but only after the graduates have said their say.- And then, dear Madame Chairman, before

These reports are made- I have to make a “little announcement” & to have 2 minutes for a wee word to the audience. We shall have no guests- being “all among ourselves.”- I promise us all much benefit & pleasure from this meeting; it surely will prove interesting [Trushing]. That this finds you & yours well Sharply, _ remain, with loving greetings to the entire family, and much affection for you, my dear “Kindergarten-daughter”
