My dearest Mrs Meleney,
-If I were not almost “drowned” in work - you surely would have had a letter - ere this. My thoughts have been- and are often with you. Thanks for your letter I said: “God be praised”-

-when reading the same, - & hearing of the “safety” of your youngest children. What a eare that has been for your dear “Mother-heart”. Soon they will be themselves again- as the warmer weather sets- in. - By the middle of

May- things will be a little easier for me. I was not aware- in the Fall- that I had “loaded” myself a little too much. Next year- I have promised myself - to make things easier.-
I am preparing now already for m Summer’s work, & I am looking forward tp

The same, - as I truly enjoy it.- What a great thing it is for your two eldest boys- to “travel” by themselves. Indeed- that is “educative”. - Dear Mrs Meleney- I hear - that a Kg: Train: School will be started in the Fall by the Board of Education. Can Mr Meleney put-in a word of recommendation for Mrs Mary Jean Miller for the B. position? She is a fine & rarely gifted young woman. Or - can Mr Meleney let me know - what steps I might take - in Mrs Miller’s behalf? I am anxious to

Help her- to get the position- for which she was already so well recommended last year; - but - that has been forgotten by this time, - & she needs “re-viving”.- I believe , it is “high time” to do steps in regard to this.- Adieu- for to-day!
