My [nerd] - Emma- whom I had [sinle] May 1st, when Maria went to Ireland, proves herself a “treasure”.- Then there is my dear Miss Kohler- so there loving, intelligent, talented & good!

Conducted by Mrs Eleanor Shackleford, daughter of the late Dr Shackleford (who used to have a cottage at the Vineyard)- and Mrs Beatrice Sands, a former pupil and graduate of ours 18 yrs ago. It is a “Home-School” Last Season they had 36. Young girls. Now - during the Summer months- about 18 girls were left- all of good- but poor families - aged from 18 month to 18 years,- The 18 years old , who

Has made her Regents examinations- as visiting in New York, - and she and “another” interesting St. Faith’s School graduate (who also was about 8 years with them) will visit me to-day. - The Baby was delightfully interesting; an Orphan.
