My dear Mrs Meleney,
You have been on my mind ever since that evening of the Torch- light Procession. it was much of a “ joy” to see you- so well- so happy. I hope, you all got “ safely home” that night. Mr meleney was almost “ left behind”; & I felt a little “ terrified” when

I saw him jump on the car- as the latter moved away so swiftly!- But- he is such a “ well-balanced” that not easily trouble of such kind would come to him. - And then I thought of the dear baby Leeber George”, & if your anxious loving “ mother- art” found him all you could wish for- on reaching home. Thus “my thoughts” were wandering “on- and- on- to the little daughter of yours’ - & to the boys- “who did not want to see the Prince”. I was glad to have a “peep” at the other two boys. How well they looked, - & how “manly” Robert is beginning to look. You- ye- “the time flies - on” ! - And now there is our dear Anna Harvey- her heart grieved by

I was not in exactly the “{ state of mind” I would have wished to be. I was “ quite a bit ill” the Tuesday & Wednesday previous. However,- my “ Sound Nature”, my “ w will power” and my “ happy heart” got the better of me!- It was aslo

Also the “anniversary week” of Mr Kraus’ death & burial”; & I feel that ever anew- each year. - The girls had forgotten all about it ; & when they “urged” me, - I did not like to tell the,

Next week an “ old pupil” of mine- of 22 years ago- will be in the city,- & I suppose, will “ absorb” me.- - And now I will close this letter. I will enclose the words of

the song which my “ class” sang last Saturday. It was very pretty, Mrs Atwood was “musical freetress”. Mrs Eashbourne Smith presided at the Piano; Mrs Turner ( a descendant of George Washington’s family) accompanied with her Violin; Miss Kohler sang a solo in the song; and both, Mrs Atwood and Mrs Kohler a duet; and the “class” students- the Chorus- Also a Soprano.- I de- sang the Song at Fran

Bertha Range’s Kindergarten in London- my first year’s experience.- Adieu! With loving greetings for all, - and with many, many thanks to Mr Meleney for his kindness & all the trouble he took in my behalf- that night when “ Prince Henry “ was at the Orion B’ldg. I did enjoy it so much.-
Affectionately Yours
