My dear Governor Woodruff:-
Your reference to Attorney-General O'Malley the other day has reminded me since that Dr. Swasey voluntarily spoke to him last winter about sending some work to my office. This he promised to do. I wish that you would speak to him if you will. A word from you ought to produce results. O'Malley is a fellow fraternity man and ought to have done something. Of course I cannot afford to take any ten dollar a day work such as milk cases. My business is where I pay my bills and furnish the necessary money to allow me to go to Albany and I do not see how I can spend the necessary time on the Charter Commission if some patronage is not sent my way.
Very sincerely yours,
Charles F. Murphy
